I take back a little of what I said in my last post. I was in a bike shop today that I don’t usually visit to get helmets for the twins. Browsing around I noticed nearly all the bikes in their hybrid section had quill stems and threaded headsets. Who knew? Good for them. People can get their bars up. Unfortunately, the bars and the tube angles on all of the bikes still put their riders in moderately aggressive positions. I think people would welcome fully upright if they could just get on a bike set up like that to try it out. Plus, only one of the bikes had fenders and none had racks or lights. Still, quill stems! I know, you can barely contain your excitement.
